Who remembers slo-pokes

One of my favorite candies growing up were slo-pokes? They were a carmel candy with the stick and could be eaten like a sucker. I'd love to find them again and I thought I heard someone had bought out the company who made them and were going to start selling them again. Has anyone else heard this?

I loved slo-pokes!!!My biggest memory was having lost a tooth to one as a kid, and I have had a crown on said tooth for 38 years.I would still have one if they are made again!!!

On Saturday I went to the candy store on a whim and picked up what I could find for slowpokes as well as picking up some other candy *L* I was sad that they didn't have baby sized gummy bears
Any how here are the pics of the slopokes I found

Slo-Pokes, Sugar Babies, Black Cows, and Milk Duds were all part of a unique candy line based on caramel rather than the nougat that dominates the market. Sugar Babies were small ovoids of caramel. Milk Duds were Sugar Babies with a soft chocolate coating. Slo-Pokes were a bar of caramel on a stick. Black Cows were Slo-Pokes with a soft chocolate coating.
My kiddy preference was (1) Milk Duds, then (2) Black Cow. Black Cows were especially good for a movie matinee because you could NOT eat the thing quickly. A Black Cow was pretty much guaranteed to require half a movie to finish off.
If they weren't available (or because it these were all that was left in my Halloween trove, I'd eat Slo-Pokes. Never really cared for Sugar Babies.....

I don't recall who made them but a similar fave of mine were small pea-sized balls of vanilla taffy with a choclate glaze. The box was rectangular in front but trapezoidal on the side! These appeared in the 1966-1967 era.
