This is a BBQ establishment that has won many awards including Memphis, Jack Daniels and many others. I have noticed them in several cities in Arkansas and now in Memphis.

Several people has indicated that they really enjoyed their BBQ and I decided to try them in Bentonville, AR this past week. I knew that due to the awards they had received, they would be really good. My personal thoughts is that they were mediocre. Perhaps I caught that particular location on a off day. The pulled pork sandwich was huge for the price but sorta dry. The BBQ sauce helped it though and the cole slaw was mediocre for my personal taste.

You get volume for your money.

Has anyone else had experienced this chain? They must have done something right to win as many awards as they have as they had huge trophy's. The Memphis in May's two trophies were the largest as they stood four feet tall. .

The one in Memphis has closed. I am not sure they were open a year. I tried them a couple of times due to their location to work and mediocre is the correct description. I did hear that the owner passed away a few months ago, so perhaps that is why.

My wife Jan and I were in Little Rock last July and the folks at our hotel told us about the Whole Hog on Cantrell Road. I think that this was the original location.
We found the pulled pork to be very good, the ribs were OK and the brisket we had was dry. I enjoyed the variety of table sauces that they offered.
Jan is the cole slaw expert and she agreed with your assessment.
We had to stay close to L.R. during that trip, but if I ever head back to AR, I'm headed to Hot Springs and McClard's.
