Whos Dollar Menu Dominates The Fast Food World?

Just about every Major Fast Food Restaraunt offers some type of Value Menu (99 cents, $1, $1.19, etc). Besides the obvious Rotten Ronnies, who would you name the restarant with the best Dollar Menu. Only choices I have unfortunately is Rotten Ronnies, Sickening King, Red Head's Squares and Taco Gag (there may be more, but it's on the same step as the ones mentioned). None of them would earn a spot in my opinion.

Wendy's has a pretty good dollar menu, but I find Burger King's $1 Whopper Jr. a real value for money. The rest of BK's dollar menu is spotty.

Hello All, While everyone loves hating fast food, I am grateful for it for a quick answer, especially when there is no time for me to my lunch for work. Wendy's seems to have the best to me. I like the chili if I add their hot sauce. Their burgers are a bit thin. The Burger King Whopper Jr. is consistent as well as the fries. Their new spicy chicken is so-so. McDonalds is just something to have because I am sick of BK. Taco Bell....never...well, their Mexican Pizza is something when I want a different taste. Arby's-never. Many places have no $1 menu, but have a cheaper menu... Sheetz is bearable. The local Blimpsie was once good, but now is really bad. Well, I went off topic. Take Care, Fieldthistle

This is a very important topic. I give the edge to Wendys. Look at the options there. You can get a baked potato for 99 cents and that's enough for lunch. Or, add one of those 99 cent salads which may have no taste, but if you're in it for a healthy lunch that won't bog you down, it's alright. The burgers on the 99 cent menu are much better than anyone else's. Get a jr cheeseburger deluxe and it just has that fresh taste like it was just whipped up. Crunchy pickles and onions every time. The fries? The give you plenty for 99 cents. The Frosty seals the deal every time. Wendys may have jacked the jr. bacon cheeseburger up to like $1.39 in most places, but oh well. Still worth it. Also, everywhere else it's a "dollar menu." Something about the "99 cent" thing at Wendy's that sells it to you psychologically. I give McDs some credit...they have beefed up theirs and the bread and butter is the double cheeseburger but they also have MEDIUM fries for $1.00. It's more fries that you need. Plus, the dollar sundae is a GREAT option. Taco Bell doesn't count because it's called a "value menu." Come on, a$$holes, don't confuse us drunks who pull up to the drive-through. Just carve out a bunch of 99 cent selections. BK has experimented too much but they are getting it right. Now, does this discussion include dollar breakfast menus? BK is really upping the anti on theirs.

McDonald's breakfast dollar menu is the best. The Fruit and Yogurt Parfait is great for a buck. The Chicken biscuit is a nice choice too for onlyl a dollar. It's a pretty large sized piece of chicken. The Apple Dipper might not really be worth worth a dollar, but it's, along with the fruit and yogurt parfait, probably the healthiest dollar breakfast item(s) out there. Considering the fact that a 6oz (the standard size now for yogurt) yogurt is often over 75cents at the grocery store, the parfait, which comes with a table spoon of granola and real strawberries and blueberries, isn't so bad a bad a deal at one dollar. Together, the two items (parfait and apple dipper) are only 195 calories without the caramel, or 265 calories with the caramel. You can also reduce the parfait by 30 calories by not including the granola. So, a fruiit and yogurt parfait without granola and the apple wedges without the caramel amounts to only 165 calories. For $2, that's a pretty healthy and filling breakfast.

Is it me or has the McDonald's Double Cheese Burger gotten smaller. It seems that the desire to keep prices flat has shrunken the product, but maybe I am just imagining things.

The chicken biscuit here is $1.89. They have upped the sausage McMuffin to $1.79 and now charge .49 cents for one slice of cheese. Sausage biscuit with cheese is $1.58 with tax, this morning I had it at Hardees for $1.24 with tax.

On a mass to dollar basis, Taco Bell provides the best "value menu" choices. That's what we're talking about, right? Run to the border.

Rally's 99 cent Bacon Cheeseburger is pretty good. I do like the Wendy's Chile with cheese and onion stirred in. The 2 Apple pies for a Buck at several of the FF places are all pretty good for a snack while driving.

Al, do they charge extra for those onions? And, now that Windey's has jalapenos, can you get them w/ ur chili? I am sure they would charge extra for those but no prob. Windey's chili w/ onions and jalapenos might not be so bad? Am I the only one here to have had the Popeyes chick sandwich? And, has no one tried the Churches $1 sandwich? Joe

I had the $1 Popeye sandwich when it first came out (I don't know if it's still out in Md) and the person making the sandwich put the same breast piece you'd get with the regular priced sandwich. I had it again with the smaller piece and it was still good, but I was spoiled for the big piece. Kevin

Drove up two days later and got some chicken! 1.5 hours is like a long breakfast run for us
