Who's Going/The Louisiana Roadfood Eating Tour & Festival

I really don't know what my  schedule is going to look like in April, but I just bought 2 tickets anyway.  
 
I have never been on one of these trips so I can't comment on this format compared to years past.  But this sounds like one heck of a good time.    
 
Who else is going? 

I got my tickets already!  Glad to hear that you will be there Joerogo and I am looking forward to meeting you.  BTW, I should be easy to spot, since I will be the guy will crawfish etouffee on my face!

It would be a stretch for me. I may be in Albuquerque the 17th of April and then Lafayette, Louisiana on the 24th of April. I doubt I will be away long enough to stretch back to the beginning of April. We will be heading out for Class B campervan RV rallies in those two places.

I can tell you from past history that the vast majority of people who attend the bus tours are people who don't post or post very little on Roadfood.  While it sure is nice to put faces to screennames, I have met many really nice lurkers, too.

buffetbuster, looking forward to it.  Hey I haven't given up on a Charlies Pool Room, Old Forge Pizza or Jozsa Corner Meat-up between now and then.

Rick, sorry to hear you can't make it.  I was convinced it would be a sure thing since we will practically be in your backyard.

I will be joining the group for my third trip.  All the past excursions have been alot of fun and have met some really nice folks!  Looking forward to attempting to keep up with buffetbuster!

Blizzardstormus, that is great to hear!  I am looking forward to meeting you, since Amy has already had the pleasure out in Iowa.  But I think I'll see you before then in March when I drive out to visit Amy!  Either way, it's a win-win for me.    Chris

Ayersian, Guess who stopped in for lunch on her way to Omaha today? Amy tried the hot beef & bread pudding this time. You really need to come out before she samples all the menu!

Sundancer and Iwanago will be there.  We are driving down.  I have spent many months in NOLA and looking forward to the return trip.  I thin Stephen has done a outstanding job of getting this one together.  It sounds like a great time and I am looking forward to the event.

Sam & I would love to join y'all, but that's the week-end before French Quarter Festival, which we go to every year. Check that out... the food and music are incredible.

We would love to be there, but we are going to NO the next week end for French Quarter Festival. Check it out thru Google. Incredible food and wonderful jazz. We go every year for this festival.

I know y';all will have a wonderful time... hey how could you not????

There's always Greyhound or Amtrak if the ol' girl abandons you....  Best of luck and hope to see ya there!

Thanks, UncleVic, but I just retired from Amtrak ( 34 years ), and after all the miserable trips I made across the country as an on-board service employee, I don't care to ever step foot on an Amtrak train again. Greyhound? Not hardly. And since I don't fly, it's drive or no-go. 

Talk about timing! My plans to attend next month's NOLA event almost went up in flames two days ago. The ol' Nissan's catalytic converter went berserk on Wed., and the service dept. guy warned me that it might be as much as thirteen hundred buck$ to fix it. Aaaaggghh!! That definitely would have kept me at home next month. I got lucky though; it turned out to only be a $445 problem, and that's not enough to keep me away from 'Nawlins.
