Will be in Athens, GA this weekend

As the title says, I'm going to be in Athens, GA this weekend and I'm looking for recommendations for breakfast and lunch spots.  Won't be needing dinner recommendations (I'm filming some live bands and eating dinner at the venues).  Any ideas?

For breakfast or lunch its hard to beat "Mama's Boy". Close to downtown.

Just down the street from a landmark.

Have to second Mama's Boy for breakfast.  Everybody loves that place.  Em's Kitchen, on the other side of town, doesn't get as much love but they do a very good breakfast as well.  With that in mind, you're guaranteed of a long line for a table at Mama's Boy, next to none at Em's.

For lunch, I couldn't bear the thought of you coming to the Athens area on a Saturday and not trying some northeast Georgia barbecue.  Paul's in Lexington is the John T. Edge favorite, Harry's on the north side of town is the Ort.Carlton favorite, and I'm very indecisive about what I'd like best.  I can get behind Chub's - we just featured it on our blog this very day!  Zeb's is really good too.

Your hosts will probably point you to The Grill after the show.  Open 24 hours, it's always busy.  Make sure you get the fries with the feta cheese dressing. Wow, those are good.

Bear in mind it's going to rain off and on this weekend as you make your plans.  And check out our blog for more Athens details and ideas:  http://marieletseat.com/category/georgia/athens/
