Williamsburg VA For 2 Days Mon, 08/22/11 9:28 PM (permalink)
I am driving from Savannah Ga to Williamsburg VA. I will be in Williamsburg for 2 days for work. I have driven up and down 95 many times. Any suggestions in Williamsburg are welcome. Also any must stop locations on the way are welcome.

Thanks!

Pierce's Pitt BBQ.  It's actually in Lightfoot, just northwest of Williamsburg.

Surrey House in Surry (spelled differently).  You'll to take  very short car ferry ride across the James River from Jamestown, VA to Scotland, VA.   Surrey House is all about peanuts, especially the peanut soup.   The sausage is great, too.

Not really "roadfood", but the Trellis restaurant in the Merchant's Square section of Colonial Williamsburg is terrific.  Every day, there is a differemt creative special, in addition to a regular menu that changes by the season.

        Hi audiolover
        Can I call you al?
Anyway, since you are v. new you probably don't know how to search the site.
If you go to the top of the page you'll see a dialogue box where you can enter a search for "Williamsburg". Although you might get a few false hits for the area of Brooklyn of the same name, you'll find many recommendation for the past. Including a few from yours truely.
        Chow!Ciao!
