We spent the week before Thanksgiving in Williamsburg at Wyndham Kingsgate. This was a nice facility and a great location. We have stayed several other places there but will return to this one in June.
We had an excellent meal at Shackleford's II located in the Monticello Market Place (I think they have another restaurant in Richmond??). It is family owned and has been in operation about 15 years. I had the Seafood Au Gratin and it was good-a little rich. My husband had the Filet Mignon and said it was probably the best he has had in a very long time (his favorite menu item). Their house salad was very nice and the house dressing was good. They have an extensive choice of fresh oysters. We will eat there again in June!
We also ate at Bourbon Street on York St. The gumbo was good and spicy.
Both restaurants have children's menus which will be good when we return with our 8 year old grandson.
We checked out the Jamestown Pie Co. and got a menu. We will definitely eat there next trip!

How nice that you found two good places to eat. They both sound interesting and I will mark them down for next trip to Williansburg.
