In some parts of the midwest (Missouri, Illinois, Indiana) there is a chain called SHO-ME'S. It is like a hooter's only the wings are naked and the women are close to it. Actually they have decent wings that are close to buffalo wings if you tell them extra crispy.

On a dare I got a 6 piece order of the KFC sauceless hot wings. The commercials actually make you believe they are worth trying. I was fooled. No spice whatsoever. Literally, just plain wings. I ate 1. Awful. I had several left so I let some friends who do not like really hot wings try them. They laughed. I cried. KFC fooled me again.

Buffalo Wild Wings is a fun stop. Their wings just do not have the meat I like on them. Wing Zone is fine in my book for a fast food joint that deliveres. Their prices are not bad and everytime I have ate their wings. They are cooked right, with plenty of meat. Also, they seem to have less veins then many other wings I have found. I also do not want to leave out Dominoes. They may not be the best wings, But they are priced right and BAKED not fried.

quote:Originally posted by Michael Hoffman quote:Originally posted by wheregreggeats.com quote:Originally posted by Michael Hoffman I ate a chicken wing once when I was about 6 years old. I've not seen the need to eat another one. This reminds me of the time my mother overheard us talking about Mexican food and she said she'd had some years ago and din't see the need to ever have it again. I thought to myself, okay, people have their own tastes -- then I asked her where and her answer was at Denny's. We took her to a decent place for Mexican and, now, she likes it. Assuming some time has passed, you might want to have a trusted friend re-introduce you to the wing. I don't think so.It's just a part of the anatomy that I find useful in making stock and not worth the effort to try to get a bite of meat from. It's not a matter of taste, it's a matter of not being interested. O my. I would say somthing like are you smoking crack! Yet, I will not because that could be seen as offensive. Wings in chicken stock? Why? That is what the theigh and drum stick is for. I am guessing you do not eat chicken gizzards, hearts or livers?

quote:Originally posted by Sundancer7 What my thoughts about wings is they have to be fresh fried and immediately sauced. If not, they get mushy and not very good. Knoxville does not have very good Buffalo wings. Some try but they are just medium. I like the sauce hot but not real hot. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN See the fried wings, just do not do it for me. I prefer them slow cooked on a grill or baked. Then sauced up. I just do not like a crisp wing.

If you ever get to the St. Louis area. In Summerfield Illinois. Mikes Place Bar and Grill. They have the hottest Hot wings I have eatten. They do not make them in house. It is somthing they get from someone. NOW, they are breaded. I do not like breading. So I take all the breading off. THE MEAT all the way through is so hot. I have to have them Bake them. They are not as hot baked as fried. Damn good wings. No fat, or huge veiny wings. Just very hot!

Hey I didn't realize that Summerfield, Illinois had a crack problem. But I'm not saying that it does; that would be offensive. Probably not a very good idea to say that to MH either.

BW3 Is horrible there wings are so small, overcooked and have little or no meat. They used to have a quality product. But with multiple locations they now use inferior wings....Russ

I had some boneless wings at BW3 (Monona, WI location) this past weekend and they weren't bad. Definitely not overcooked and while I prefer wings bone-in these were very easy to eat. Brad
