Gotta love and honor that man; even though i don't think the Guiness listing is worth a Hell-of-a-lot, except as a conversation piece. When I was a youngster there were still real old-time bartenders around our area - some of them had been tending bar before prohibition and continued right on through that awful era. One, I remember well: he had only one ear - having lost one in a brawl when he tended bar in Montreal during the shameful dry American era.

    Cheers, John

He should write a book on his favorite pick up lines he's heard!

I personally know a gentleman who has been at the same place since he was 16 years old. His Name is Uncle Wes and he works at Bar -7 restaurant in Wickenburg, AZ.
He just celebrated his 85th birthday last year. His parents once owned the place and after they sold it he stayed on as a bus boy and worked up to the head bartender position. He only lives a couple of blocks away and still walks to work as he has for the last 70 years. He has become a local celebrity since he was featured in Arizona Highways Magazine a couple years back.
So, If you are ever in Wickenburg, give Uncle Wes a holler and tell him that David and Heather Oberle sent you! I'm sure that he will still remember us even after moving to Alaska a couple years ago.
