I had lunch today at a really wonderful place in downtown Concord, NC. The owner, Alice, was so friendly-felt like we were visiting in her home. The soup (from Martha Washington's kitchen) was a crab soup-full of crabmeat. After a caesar salad I had a little room left so I tried the mixed berry tart. It was heated with a rich ice cream on top. Unbelieveably good!!! I can't wait to go back for dinner. Their coffee is fresh ground and they have live music nights. Their website is :gwbandt.com You can see their complete menu there and the list of musicians. Across the street is a super ice cream shop Cabarrus Creamery-using original recipes from an old creamery that was in Concord years ago.
