Maybe, but I prefer what Swedes eat during Christmas. Once I tryed the Swedish so called Julbord. It was delicious. They had a Christmas ham instead of Turkey

I was waiting in line at Publix deli today and they had a kid sitting at a table briskly taking orders for pre-cooked ham and turkey Christmas dinners with a line of folks waiting their turn. I never really paid much attention to these as they do this from Thanksgiving to Christmas each year. Yow! I couldn't believe the prices. For a 10-12lb bird and one side was 39.99 and 16-18lb turkey with two sides is 79.99. The turkeys are pre-packed in a shrink wrap and pre-cooked. The sides are in cold packed tins with a plastic cover and about half the size of what I fit into a 9 x 9 baking dish. Publix sold their store brand turkeys for .59/lb and our ~12lb bird this Thanksgiving cost only $7.01.  Heck this is pure profit especially if someone had a good sized deck oven and some extra time on their hands to do pre-cooked turkey packages. Must be lots of lazy folks out there willing to pony up this much gelt.

Rendering company...yep. If you fry for a business I'd guess that a local company would provide you with barrels and come get your oil.
