The Laughing Cat a restaurant in Ybor City (Tampa) that was a recommend by the locals this summer. That whole district is a wonderful amalgam of tastes, smells, and sights. The LC is a buffet of the freshest Italian offerings. Here is a well done review that I agree with: www.code16.com/cat/ Oops, sorry not that Laughing Cat...Hmmm... Ok this is the real deal- www.weeklyplanet.com/2002-07-24/food_feature.html - 33k

I agree, a pretty interesting place. They also had a prettly good little arts and crafts fair on the weekends in the fall and winter at the covered building in the park. Some intersting restaurants, and the cigars. carl reitz

Yes, when we were there they were roasting coffee on one side of the street and rolling cigars on the other. Another great area to eat up the road is Tarpon Springs. Greek restaurants and bakeries are plentiful. Not having had much experience with Greek fare, can anyone tell me if the tastes ring authentic? I know they were delicious, and cheap.
