Poor Guy.
Maybe some Federal Agency will give him a free inflatable doll so his self-esteem does not get brused too badly thereby allowing him to be integrated into society after months of free counseling, housing and food. They'll also send him to school at no cost so he can learn a trade.
If he ends up back in jail, they'll do it all over again!
