Are they tired of screwing up pizza? Time to move on to big and better screw ups? Who thinks they will try using pizza sauce for their red sauce?

No effect on me. I never order from Pizza Hut. They can do as they wish.

It wasn't too long ago that PH had pasta dishes on their menu. The big difference with their new offerings is that they're "family sized".

Make fun if you wish, but "people without can openers" is big market!

The independent pizzerias around here have always offered pasta dishes. I'm surprised that PH, et al, took so long to catch up. Next will be a salad in a box. All they will have to add to their larder is lettuce, and packaged salad dressing. An awful lot of people won't cook a lot of their family meals, for whatever reason. When I was a kid, we never, ever had take-out or delivered food at the house. But times have changed.

This board is going to get mightly scary when the generation who grows up thinking PH spaghetti is what pasta should taste like comes of internet age.

When I was young and actually went to Pizza Hut after school dances and so forth, I always ordered their Cavatini pasta dish. It wasnt bad back then, but I do know it was a lot better than the pizza.

What a joke. If you read the article, it says: "Pizza Hut pasta will be baked, not boiled, Niccol says, and the ingredients - from noodles to sauce to cheese - will be supplied to locations frozen, and be thawed for use." This sounds like a glorified version of the frozen Italian entrees available at all supermarkets.

Pizza Hut used to be pretty good with both their pizza and pasta, but when the Hut started to go after the delivery market the product really went downhill.

Ok - Be prepared to revoke my Roadfood account but I tried it. I mocked the commercials where people in a New York Restaurant said how great it was. The problem is, they're showing the wrong demographic. They need to show the lazy idiot that can't be bothered to leave his apartment to go downstairs and buy a can of Spaghettios with meatballs for $3.99 when his fridge is empty. That demographic just happened to be me a week ago. I was home, I was hungry, I didn't want to move. I figured - I could order a pizza from Pizza Hut, but we all know how awful that would be. So I tried the Creamy Chicken Alfredo. My review: The chicken was an afterthought. I'm guessing the rest comes prefrozen and reheated in the restaurant before they throw on some sort of chicken topping and run it through the belt oven. The chicken was dry, garlicky and salty. The pasta/cheese goo wasn't half bad tasting but it was WAY salty. The breadsticks were typical Pizza Hut breadsticks. The pros: It was cheap. I didn't have to move (much) and it was a lot of food. The cons: It wasn't really good. Not moving to get food is not something to be proud of. It reheated ok, but it was still salty as all hell. Verdict: I am ashamed of myself. Flippy

I tried the Chicken Alfredo once at a work meeting. Never again. I literally thought I was going to be sick the rest of the night. Then again, Pizza Hut has never been a favorite of mine.

Olive Garden isn't God's gift to superior Italian cooking, but it doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath with Pizza Hut....is a TGI Friday's burger the same as a Mickey D burger....What next will Pizza Hut Intoduce "Hut wine"???

I love the Pizza Hut commercial where they serve New Yorkers 'who know their pasta'....Why would New Yorkers in general be food experts? I expect a lot of New Yorkers don't have anymore of a clue than anybody else...

Because of the large Italian population in the NYC metro area? And because New York rules?

Wow, all this talk makes me GLAD that my local Pizza Hut got screwed over by rising property costs and abruptly closed about 2 years ago.
