You are a real Roadfooder when you have to spend 1 entire day getting to Roadfood eateries. Fly into some bizarre airport, rent a car and head out in search of Roadfood (which has already been blessed by this forum). We have found our own and have followed the suggestions of others here and haven't had anything but fantastic meals.

You know you are a roadfooder when you go a place and order things on the menu just because you have never heard of them before and the waiter or waitress thinks you might like to try them. This worked for me quite well in rural Quebec and Puerto Rico.

You have a valid claim to being a RoadFooder when you drive 665 miles to attend a luncheon put together by people you have never met in person, at a restaurant you've never seen, much less eaten at, and you have a great time.
On the same theme, when you extend a 3 day reunion in one location to a 10 day roadtrip so that you can include several restaurants and a BBQ competition in 6 other states....that's the spirit of Roadfood in action.

You plan a roadtrip by the restaurants that you can go to along certain routes

You make a special trip just to eat at a restaurant you have read about.

You keep a list (mental or otherwise) of all the great Roadfood places you have enjoyed.

You NEVER go to a chain unless you absolutely have NO choice.

You do not get excited over a fast food chain offering something new on their menu.

I will now blindfold myself and stand up against a white wall waiting for those shots to be fired

you decide how far you can drive until you stop at another roadfood
or you have to eat twice becouse there are two roadfoods nearby
