My current favorite pizza is 360 Pizza in, Austin Texas. They make real New York style pizzas. And as an ex New Yawka, I can tell you their pies are the real thing. Great crust, sauce, and toppings. I'm in Austin often and after the 3 hour drive from Dallas, I usually make a beeline to 360 pizza for lunch.

My current fave in NYC is Crosby Pizza Stop...

I do need to qualify this statement as this is my first true slices of NY pizza unless you count Ray's or John's (Midtown). I am headed back to NYC in the next couple of weeks and am open to any suggestions which could topple Crosby Stop.

If I were you, I'd make a beeline to Lombardi's Pizza. America's original pizzeria opened in 1905. Their coal fired oven still turns out some of the best pizza in the US! It's a must
do if in NYC!

Yes, San Antonio does have great pizza. The River Walk is a great place to go.

I realize this is an old message, but I have to say I wanted a pizza while in San Antonio on the Riverwalk this past spring. I looked and looked and settled on one place I thought had potential and it turned out to be the worst pizza I probably ever had in an independent non-chain restaurant. Definitely the worst so called Margherita pizza ever. In fact, I've been to Riverwalk three times and each time food was a disappointment. Too touristy bland. Other than that, Riverwalk is a cool place just to hang out.

Lou Malnati's in Chicago (as others previously mentioned) is definitely a favorite of mine. One slice and I am done. I am never able to go for seconds even though I so desperately wish to.
