AS a everyday sports person, whatever the sport /sports may be, what has been your biggest thrill so far? A hole in one, a HR in a Little League game, or bringing down a Mountain Goat at a long distance, you got the idea, watacha have? Me, I holed a second shot on a par 4, at Columbia Country Club, in Chevy Chase, in a tournament, all net, no roll, on the fly! It was a YEOW moment!

Thinking, thinking, thinking..... Aha! Knocking down an entire long row of sawhorses at the Los Angeles Open. I rode my bike between two of them. I never saw the rope connecting all of them. Guess that really doesn't count.

I'd have to say my biggest sports thrill was standing on the sidelines coaching and watching as my grandson blew up a tight end who'd just caught a pass on the half yardline, caught the kid's fumble in the air and ran 99 1/2 yards for a touchdown, breaking at least five tackles along the way.

The stast of my first Newport to Ensenada Race. Standing on the forederck of a race boat, knowing we were competing against the "big boys" in one of the biggest sailboat races of them all. What a rush when the gun went off and we trimmed the sails to start.

Climbed Mt. Fuji three times. Amazing view of Tokyo/Yokohama and the pacific if the clouds below permit.

My greatest thrill was reeling in a 37 inch Northern Pike at Red Lake in New York State. My father in law, brother in law, and husband were all shouting at me and telling me I was doing it wrong and that I was going to lose it. I had it in the boat flopping around their feet and then they all shut up!

Scoring the only TD in an otherwise scoreless defensive struggle. The year was 1949-- we were underdogs against a big Greenport team. We were just a so-so team in the Long Island Semi-Pro League. With about 6-7 minutes left in the 4th Quarter I caught a 10 yd pass and ran 50 yds for the game winner. All I could think of on the way was----DON"T TRIP. I was mauled by my teammates-----and hugged by the coach who said "I knew they were never going to catch you". 62 years later I can still hear his voice and feel his hug.

Climbing up and down the bluffs of Lake Michigan day in and day out for all my teenage years. I go back to these spots and wonder how in heck I did it. Very steep, pretty dangerous.Ah, the fearlessness of youth!

Biggest thrill was watching my son getting the game winning single that won the oregon championship for his senior little league team and sent them to the regional tournament in california.

Several of them: - Intercepting a pass in the last game of my senior year and running it back to save an undefeated season and win a district championship!
- Watching my Daughter Win 3 individual state championship events in swimming at the FL High School State Championships on the same weekend.
- Watching my son pin a guy who weighed about 40 pounds more than him in a high school heavyweight wrestling match in NJ to win the district championship for his team.
Both kids went to college on athletic scholarships.
