Since 1996, it has been made by Hershey's: http://www.hersheys.com/products/details/zero.asp

There is a little discussion of Zero bars on this recent thread: http://www.roadfood.com/Forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4275

They are all over the place here in Oklahoma---my chocoholic wife was informed by her Doc that she had to cut WAY back on her consumption( like-"Stop eating that stuff!!") so i bought her one to calm her sweettooth and she's now a big fan!

One of my favorites, they are all over, the Super Wal Mart here even sells a "supersize." What I do miss is the snack size Zero bars that used to come out around Halloween. I haven't seen them in a few years.

You can find Zero bars here in Chicagoland. I love 'em to pieces! I even recall the very first one I had: found them in a vending machine at the hotel we were staying in on a family vacation. I must have been about 13 or so.

My brothers thought I was just being the "oddball" again- why couldn't I just eat plain ol' milk chocolate candy bars like everyone else? Well, I never was "like everyone else," so I was content to eat my Zero bars, and soon, I ended up turning the rest of my family and friends on to them.

          They certainly are different!

I see Zero bars around here in Huntsville, AL, alot. Check Family Dollar Stores if you have them. They are also in our vending machines at work sometimes.

I liked those as a kid, but broke my arm while eating one in the 1970s. I was sitting on top of a dugout watching my dad's softball game. While trying to climb down with the Zero bar in my hand, I slipped and fell. I didn't realize it until now, but I haven't eaten one since then.

My sister had a heart problem and chocolate was one thing that she had to give up. Zero bars were something that she could eat.
