any of your Lone Star Steakhouses close?

There was a Lone Star Steakhouse less than a mile from me, in Egg Harbor Township, NJ (10 miles from AC)

It opened up in a brand new free standing building about 10 years ago, something like that.

Last week, I noticed a strange site on a Thursday night 7 pm.
No CARS. Sure enough , there was a closure sign on the door.

I thought they were hit and miss (mostly miss) (steaks were usually too thin, etc) ,although their burgers seemed to have gotten much better. They rarely seemed to be busy at that location. Was'nt a cohesive feeling there. It was a place I resorted to every once in awhile, to take a break from cheesesteaks and pizza. A "port in a storm" , so to speak. It was actually a place to go for a quiet meal! (no wonder they closed)

I notice on their website that they closed 30 "underperfoming" stores March 2006. Nothing had been mentioned about this latest casualty.

I just hope another restaurant moves there quickly. We just had the Superfresh supermarket(owned by A & P) close a few months ago.
Their parking lot was right next to my condo development; it caused the Dollar Store to go out of business, although the Atlantic City Subs is still going strong, and the Mr. Wonton is hanging on.
My prediction is that Staples will go next. (same shopping center, and rarely busy)

Outback owns 3 restaurants within the same mile or so area. (Bonefish Grill, Outback, and Carraba's).

And there is a Genuardi's supermarket (Safeway owned), and a 24 hour CVS. So I guess there can only be so much sometimes!!

I espescially hate to see restaurants close, and then become something OTHER than a restaurant!!

Just had one open in Watertown NY along with a new Holiday
Inn Express next door just off Rt. 81..............
