beef prices please help

I do not usually go to internet for help. I own 2 places in NY and NJ and recently beef prices are way up. Can some one give me an idea about what prices you pay for beef in the NJ NY area. I serve mainly Prime and choice but when you have price for Prime grade Ribeye at $16/pound, it is all of the sudden too much for the business to continue

Flank Steak, I pulled this link from another thread, but it explains pretty much what's going with the price of meat.

When we use a third of the corn crop as fuel, don't build dams because they may endanger some esoteric species, and truly buy the proposition that bovine flatulence will leave NYC under water and Texas in flames the price of beef tends to rise.

Don't worry though, you'll forget all about beef prices when you open your electric bill next summer.

I was hungry for a steak and started looking at Steakhouse Menus around the Valley to go out for a nice steak.
    STICKER SHOCK!!
Prices ranged from $25 to $50 bucks for a hunk of meat and most nice places have gone al a carte on the fixin's.
Easy to lay down a $100+ bill for dinner for 2.
Here's a "Middle of the Road" example:
    Del Frisco’s Signature Steaks
    Filet Mignon 8oz $34 (That's $68 a #!)
Prime New York Strip 16oz $38
    Prime Ribeye 16 oz. $39
    Prime Sliced Steak 8oz. $29 (That's $58 a #!)
Most high end places don't even put prices on their web site menus for fear of scaring customers off!
