Been awhile since I've been to Bedford.  Beautiful state park nearby and very near the home of John Mellencamp.  Right on the main street of town there were a couple of ma & pa type places but I don't remember any names.  Good basic food.

We have a cabin in the woods near Bedford & are very familar with the area.  Unfortunately, I am unable to recommend any local restaurants for breakfast.  I think your best bet would be Bob Evans on 16th St.

However, for lunch or dinner there are several good options:

Pinto's Southwest Steakhouse- we go here about every couple of weeks.  Great mexican food, the best freshly made pico de gallo.

Pappa's- great place for bar/pub food.  Pretty good pork tenderloin.  We always sit in the bar area, kind of an everyone knows your name place.

Spring Mill State Park Inn restaurant- lunch or dinner buffet-really good fried chicken, homemade salads, extensive choice of desserts.

Also, the Rosemount Motel may not be your best bet.  It is directly on US 50 & most of the original building is gone.  There are several motels on US 50 & frankly most of there look pretty rundown, including the Rosemount.  Your best bet would be Holiday Inn Express, Motel 6, or the Comfort Inn, all on SR 37.    None are very picturesque but I would not recommend any of the motels on  US 50.
