buffalo ribs - Wed, 04/15/09 4:05 PM ( #1 )
Has anyone ever eaten "buffalo ribs"?  Not the bovine type, but the rib section from the buffalo fish.

About 15 years ago when I was working with the LA Dept. of Forestry my boss and I stopped at a little hole in the wall place in mid-LA and had fried buffalo ribs (rib section from the fish)  I can't remember the name of the place or the little town and, unfortunately, George has passed on.

To him it was a real treat.  I thought they were pretty good too, although I'd rather fried sac-a-lait or speckled trout.

Anyone else ever had....
