can anyone help me in my beef jerky hunt??

Hey does anyone know where I can get the beef jerky that Costco used to sell? It must of been at least 5 or 6 years ago that they sold these smoked beef jerky strips that came in a long round container. They were very similar texture to the beef jerky coins that people eat. I can't remember the brand exactly, just the delicious taste. If anyone of you have any idea of the brand or where I can find them please let me know! Thanks. It is DEFINITELY much appreciated!

Gizmo86, welcome to RF! I too am on a beef jerky hunt of a different sort [a local place in Michigan that makes amazing stuff]. I don't know the answer but if this topic gets running & we get you an answer, maybe I'll post my stuff again and get myself an answer too. Good luck!!! p.s. just realized I answered the BBQ forum one [better heading btw!] and no tthe post you put in MIsc Food Related, which is really where this goes... so I will move copy post over. I wonder if you can edit that heading to match this one?? It's a better attention grabber.

My suggestion - make your own. It's cheaper, you can control the sodium content, and you can devise your own flavors.

I never went for the packaged stuff ... too many chemicals. This is off topic: IMO the best jerky I ever have is from Carek's Market in Roslyn, Washington.

Gizmo, IMO the best jerky I ever had was from the Mahogany Smokehouse in Bishop CA. It was chunks of real beef, not strips. I have no idea if it is still there as I left CA in 1987. Mike
