company logo & web design..

Is there anyone on here that can pass on a tip(s) as to how to get a company logo / website designed relatively inexpensive.  Everyone I have contacted locally - are very expensive (at least I thought so) so I was wondering if there are any tips someone can pass on to me.

what exactly are you looking for as a website? something elaborate with a lot of bells and whistles or just a basic information type page?

How about asking the art department at your local college?  It could be a contest for the students.

Hey Hippie - Something rather simple!  no bells, whistles, no FLASH, just clean, neat, maybe 3-4 pages - bright bold colors - with a matching logo so that I can get the matching logo cut out in vinyl to place on my cart to create some uniformed branding.

I have used this company for logos and have been very pleased  www.surelogos.com.  My website is www.popsdogs.com.  It's not finished yet, but if you like what you see, email my web designer at radarman012000@yahoo.com.  His name is Marty Kerstetter.  He is very reasonable.

Pops website is exactly what a food website should be - simple attractive and easy to navigate and understand.

surelogs is a great company with great prices, you dont have to go with the highest price package to get something really nice.

I would definetly check into both of these cajun.

I love your site Pops. Well here is mine. I did it myself. and the logos. About 150 hours for the logo. lol But the site that i have its ok still figuring out all the good stuff.

I agree Pops your site is very colorful eye appealing and easy to navigate. I have always liked your logo and company colors.

I created my website through Tiptopwebsite.com  You sign up and they pretty much walk you through it. Mine runs around $4.95 a month. I would like mine a little sharper but it does the job for me. I just photoshopped my food and made a menu. I use the same pictures on my cart menu as well. My logo was very easy to do with photoshop because it is so basic. Here is my website      Quickdogcatering.com
