travelling from DC to Richmond to Charlottesville to the Greenbrier in a few weeks, a week trip including three kids, ages 10 - 17. I got the Smokey Pig in Ashland - any other great ideas for California kids (and their parents?)

Here are some recommendations in Richmond 1. McCleans on West Broad Street for big delicious Southern Breakfasts of Cheese Omelets, Grits, Biscuits, Country Ham and Fried Apples 2. Freckles. A good ol' boy joint in the Libbie Grove Neighborhood for fried chicken, spoon bread, fried okra, banana pudding and sweet tea. 3. Dabney's. An African American Jazz Supper Club. which has great Fried Chicken, Spoon Bread, Green Beans and Sweet Tea.
