See...people don't want to be treated as if they were old. Except...of course if/when someone in that age range makes a rude comment that can easily be avoided.

I'm in the mid 60's and I certainly don't feel, look or act as a senior. The only time I ask for a senior discount is when I reserve a hotel room. Don't judge us all.

I am only 5 years out of that age range and I doubt I will get the free pass just because I am an old lady ever. Nor would I want it.

I think a comedian (can't recall who) said it best... "You know you're old when you fall down and nobody laughs." That, I think, is the point where you have to realize you're old.

I see people that are around 35 ( I know them there is nothing wrong with them) spinning around the Supermarket in the Jazzy. A disgrace.

I was born in 1962 and had no idea that I was considered a baby boomer.

Your an old guy when making love is "like trying to shoot pool with a rope", a slight deviation from a George Burn's quote!

buffetbuster I was born in 1962 and had no idea that I was considered a baby boomer. Hey buddy after awhile they started expanding the use of the term. But 79 million babies were born during the Baby Boom. years (1946-1964) and I was one of them I grew up with Black and white TV, Soupy Sales, Woodstock, the Vietnam War, very cool old school cars, and John F. Kennedy as president. LOL jack

70 is the new 30. Or so boomers think. I agree all customers should be greeted with open arms. Aside from the business dealing I have a real problem with the self-important, self -absorbed boomer generation. BTW, I am a '65 model.

I was born 6 years before the Baby Boomers started and never had a group I could call my own so I called myself a Baby Boomer anyway. I now consider myself a part of the "Spare Parts" Generation. 2 new knees, a stint, a pacemaker and plates & screws in my back. My scrap value is worth more than my old Organs! I'm constantly amazed by the lightening speed of all the new technology coming on line. I'm proud to say I'm trying to keep up with all of it. I even got a Doctorate from Google University and I'm working on a Masters of Facebook. I refuse to Twit!

I read a great line in a novel once, don't remember the name. It went: "No one really has anything against old people. They just want them to get out of the way." My observation since then seems to prove that.

My Mother (always in a good mood) spends her mornings doing comedy at McDonald's before heading to exercise class...before she swims. Two new knees a new hip a rod in her shoulder and you'd never know it. The only thing she said to me is please do not let her walk with that cane. What cane? Get up and bake me a cake.
