does the dr pepper bag in box use coke or pepsi connectors for the fountain machine?

Depends again who bottles Dr. Pepper in your area. It could be either coke, pepsi, 7-up or some other independent bottler.
Most bottlers use different connections so other bottler brands
cannot be used.
Best to call the bottler and ask or check a store/resturant that
sells fountain Pepper and have a look-see at their set-up.

at my local restaurant depot, they have coke products there, and they only have mr pibb. so maybe pepsi is the mfg here in socal?
