Most people don't know what a really good taco is. Those JIB taco's suck big time. If you want a decent taco, make it yourself. Add whatever fixins you like and enjoy. Hmmmmmmmmmmm, might have to make some fish taco's for lunch today with some very fresh mahi mahi.

There was no better late nite food than a bag of jintheB tacos and and order of O rings. The tacos were crisp, greasy and fresh out of the fryer. Topped with a sauce that tasted lik e venegar id always wish I bought a couple more.
I havent had one in over 20 years but can still taste them Recently I bought some frozen tacos and tried to quick fry thme. It just didnt come out right.
    Mahi-mahi on a taco? Gimme a Jack!

See what I mean about people not knowing what a good taco is about.
Britt, Have you ever eaten a real fish taco? Better for you than any fast food taco and very delicious. Instead of lettuce, try some cabbage for an authentic flavor. Skip teh packaged taco sauce and add some fresh salsa. Some local tomatoes and a squeeze of lime finishes it off.

Ive cooked a ton of Mahi in my life. I never could handle the taste or texture. i do like good quality tacos with the vaious fillings and the squeeze of lime. there was just something about the jack tacos late at nite that made them addictive to me. i doubt i would ever eat them in the day time. But 230am, my 1st choice.

I love them because they're greasy and nasty and the grease went through the shell and made it soggy and rubbery. Oh yeah!

    I also love Tito's Tacos.

You have to eat them in the middle of the night and you have to be drunk.

You don't have to be drunk, but having that mindset is a good thing. I have enjoyed some very good Tacos at many places around the country and In BAJA as well. Comparing them to the J I B Tacos is like comparing White Castles to some Gourmet Burger places. That's just not a fair comparison.

I love those nasty greasy little devils. With or Without the added sauce (better with!) I get them in multiples of 4,8,0r 12! When teaching in SoCal I had a 25 min lunch break...I loved having a student run over to JIB and get me $4.00 worth of tacos (8) and a 99 cent coke. They didn't replace "good" Cal-Mex food...They were a quick stuffing of things I like !

I don't really care if you think they suck. I am sure if I were to examine the eating habits of each member on this forum, I would find some likes and dislikes that I could "Look Down Upon". So make comments about the idea that they are (In Your Opinion) NOT GOOD, but don't knock the folks who don/t agree with you.

growing up in the midwest i lived on JIB tacos. A best bud was crew manager and we would go in and order 2 or 3 pay for them and he would stuff the bag with another 20 freebies. We used 3 hot sauce pacets per taco and gobbled them up. Last year when in CA i had to try one for nostalgic reasons. Mmmmmmmmmmm good. Greasy, but still good. bkk

Man, I loved those jack in the box, or jacks as it had changed to, back in the early 80's.After the clubs, we would hit jacks late night, get a super taco and a jumbo jack burger and onion rings.Awesome!
As stated by some earlier, obviously not a "classic taco" but they sure tasted good!

As far as I know Nashville has the farthest East JitB. So whenever I get to Nashville I always get at least 4 of these greasy nasty but ohhh so craving tacos. I lie the analogy, the west coast version of the white castle.

I like to eat them once in awhile.Somes i get two and a Big Texas cheeseburger as well, when i am on my way home after working at TJMAXX (second job) late at night, and don't even feel like heating up a tv dinner. I once in awhile buy them for lunch to, if running errands on my lunch hour from my district job. Can't always stop at some of the local mexican places in Universal City or Schertz on my lunch hour. For the price, they aren't bad.

Yea, the JITB taco's suck. Which I find odd, because among fast food franchises, I like generally like JITB burgers.

We no longer have a Jack in the box here in Tulsa. It was the first twenty-four drive though in town when it opened here in the 1970's. Went there all the time as a teenager. Nastiest, greasiest tacos I have ever had! We mainly got the burgers.
