Over the Holiday week my older brother reminded me of these. They had cohcolate or strawberry flavoring inside the straw and when you sipped milk through them you tasted the flavor. Not very good as i recall.

They worked OK...but no great shakes. You kind of hoped they would work better. Moms were buying kids anything that might make Junior or Sis drink milk. Not the case at our manse. I loved milk. Problem was, the only other two things I liked besides candy were hot dogs and celery. So Mom took me to the doctor regularly, hoping he'd fatten me up. "Can't you do something to make him eat?" she'd implore. To which he replied, "Don't worry, Mrs. ScreenBear, he'll eat." He was right. The Bear

Dip 'n Sip! My neighbors father worked for them and we had cases of those nasty things. When I first had Thai iced tea the color reminded me of what they did to a glass of milk. Ever pull out the center and draw on your tongue with it?

There were also other kinds of flavored straws..FLAV R STRAWS were in the 1950's and 1960's, they had cool flavors including Coffee!..Also in the 1980's Kraft came out with PINCH N SIP STRAWS, not sure what flavors, these are the ones I remember and I remember them actually being pretty tasty :-)
