If you have not been to this one of a kind gem( feature3d here over the last few days ) , go quick.....any roadfood fan would find it quite worthwhile to make a large detour here...just read an article from last month that the building is up for sale...sadly, the clock is ticking,,,

hey there  just found this great quote from Kerouac's ON THE ROAD...  in an account about Los Angeles: "Terry and I ate in a cafeteria downtown which was decorated to look like a grotto, with metal tits spurting everywhere and great impersonal stone buttockses belonging to deities and soapy Neptune. People ate lugubrious meals around the waterfalls, their faces green with marine sorrow." Wonder if he ate at Clifton's? 

I can't believe that this thread is not about the TICK TOCK DINER in Clifton, NJ.
