hinges Wed, 07/25/07 10:02 PM (permalink)
does any one know where or what type of hinges i should use on my pig cooker in progress. it's a converted oil drum and i'm thinking some type of spring hinge. i actually saw some on a web site , and they were called pig grill hinges. or perhaps some type of hydraulic opener attached to each side of the cooker to hydraulicly open the top then i could use reg. door hinges. please help kray. thanks

    nivekyar,
If you go to ebay and search for pig grill hinges, you will see some pics of hinges you can you use for your smoker project. If you know someone that welds and does metal work, you can fabricate something very similar to what's pictured on ebay. It wouldn't cost very much.
