Check your local Recreation Commission (ball fields). Write, email, or call them for permission to locate at a specific or (like I did) on any field without concessions avialable. Once you have permission... get it in WRITING so there are no misunderstandings.

As to municipal properties (courthouses, city hall, etc), there may be restrictions... find out from your city hall.

You can also try in front of any given gas station (that doesn't sell hot dogs), liquor stores.

Whereabouts in RI are you? I am familiar with much of RI (grew up in Prov... lived in Pawt and E. Prov).... now living in MA. Best of luck.

PS... there are also tons of colleges and universities in RI. Depending on where you are located, you can either contact the school and request permission to park, or (if they say no) contact whoever lives ACROSS the street from the main entrance to the school and get your customers coming and going. I heard someone on one of these posts did very well that way.

Because it worked for me, you might check fot a local general aviation airport with a good drive-by traffic count. Airports attract people with fairly high incomes and if the airport is along a state road it might be good.
