I'm thinking of finding a spot in a shopping center and having keroke out side and maybe line dancing

You'll probably get a lot of people milling about around your stand, which would make you look busy to passersby. People who wanted a hot dog and didn't want to sing or line dance would likely keep moving because of the crowd. Also, you'd have a BODA* who would get their kicks by uttering obscenities into your p.a. system.

        * - BTW, BODA is a Southern anagram for "Bunch Of DumbAsses"

Come on - be open minded! You could call it "Sing For Your Supper," and give a discount to people who belt out a tune. It could be a great gimmick! Its Karaoke, by the way.

No disrespect meant, but cut me some slack. It's hard enough to run a food operation in this day and age let alone adding dancing girls and bad singers. If your food is right and the price is right you don't need all that silliness. If you want to add some smoke and mirrors go for it. But I promise you if the location, food, and price are right you'll need nothing else. Karaoke, is the worst form of entertainment ever invented, in my opinion. If you video taped 90% of those that sing and played it back when the were sober they'd most likely never sing again. I can stand about 15 minutes of it and would never eat at a stand that featured Karaoke. But that's just me. So if your heart is set on it go for it, and then tell us when you get serious about your food.

They did something similar here in Nashville where people would sing and play guitars and other... It was called Hound Dogs and they were set up on Music Row. It was a huge success.

Buddy I don't want to burst your bubble but Old Town has 3 nights of car cruises, a bike cruise night, bands every night,a very extensive paid bunch of performers that dress and look like Ricky Nelson, Elton John, Tom Jones and Elvis and 14 or 15 carnival rides. It's a little 6 flags type operation. I'm afraid your not going to draw enough people at a normal mall to get a couple dancing let alone line dancing. Look at what you can do to make your food the best within 30 miles and when your able to do that you'll have a crowd. You really don't need all the extras.

Suddenly Billy Ray Cirus won't get out of my head. I remember those days, circa 1992 while stationed at Langley AFB in Va. People still line dance? Man , I need to get out more. Good luck!

I think the idea of a karaoke hot dog stand has to rank right up there with mako shark rides.

Music Row became run down at one point, people moved out. Yes it was a huge success and the guy became rich. Tim McGraw got his name out there singing at that stand as well as many others.

Since I at no time in this thread have addressed you, I feel no need to "cut you any slack." I was addressing the topic started by CC Johnny, and suggesting a name for his business that related to his concept. I don't necessarily think its a good idea though.
