We enjoyed some great 'Crab Imperial' at a buffet near Norfolk, VA some years back.  I did not keep notes nor photos of that ride, so maybe someone has a memory of the place... It was not in Williamsburg, but headed down to Norfolk/ VA Beach from W-burg...

On our family vacations to Rehoboth Beach, DE we almost always made a trip down to Ocean City to enjoy a seafood meal at Phillips ( http://phillipsseafood.com/ ).  So, when Phillips took over the old Flagship restaurant on the Washington, DC Maine Ave. Pier we had to visit.  It was and still is a buffet.  After a quick survey of the buffet and the "scene" we turned and left for a decent a la carte seafood meal at Bish Thompson's in Bethesda.

Aside from enjoying #10 cocktail shrimp at a swanky brunch, we don't "do" seafood buffets:  too much chance for something happening.
Hey Jim...my family also took vacation trips to Rehoboth and Fenwick Island. We also visited the Flagship (one of our faves, BEFORE Phillip's took it over. Phillips used to be great, but now only use crab meat from SE Asia. What a travesty for a Baltimore based company. You might enjoy this article.

Hate to think it, but their shrimp are probably farmed in some cesspool in Thailand!

There still are a number of Todai clones in Plano, such as Japan House on Plano Pkwy and Osaka Sushi on Park.

Years ago in Virginia I had a colleague who had some 'bad sushi' in WDC and got a vision-threatening bacterial infection in his eyes.  For several tense years he had to make a weekly trek up to the Wilmer Institute at Hopkins to stabilize his condition.  The only good news for him was he got to eat often at Charm City's legendary 'Little Italy' places and crabhouses.

Sushi has never passed my lips; after his horrid experience I would even pass on a free meal at Nobu!

We have several such places in McKinney, too.  Wouldn't touch them with a stick.  If this makes me a provincial hick, so be it; I confess!

The best seafood buffet I ever had was in North Springfield Vt some years ago
Don't remember the name ,but heard it burned down
Also the old Highland Hotel in Springfield Mass. served the best lobster dishes

The Seafood buffets are nice. The one organized last week when I was in Las Vegas was awesome. It has a variety of seafood and variety of dishes. It also included drinks and deserts. The Lobster, the shrimp, the Crab cake was just mouth watering and very delicious. The buffet was organized at the Crab Corner. A restaurant situated in the east side of the Las Vegas. I learned that it also provides online bookings as well as others. Anyone interested in organizing a buffet can visit the place once. It will be beneficial. Thanking you.

You did a really bad job of shilling your restaurant.

Personally, I would never eat at a seafood buffet. Maybe, if the restaurant backed up to  either the Atlantic or Pacific ocean within the US and I saw them bringing fresh seafood thru the back door.

Anybody remember New Orleans House East in Louisville, KY? This was the best seafood buffet on the planet! First thing you saw when entering was a Christmas tree sized mound of ice loaded with shrimp. The buffet included every kind of seafood prepared in every imaginable way. The wait staff cruised around with Oysters Rockefeller and Florentine,  Clams Casino, stuffed shrimp, frog legs, and different breads. 40 years ago and still sticks in my memory.
