I feel Bishop's is thin and watery and they use some strange flavor, maybe oregano. I liked Lindy's but i'm not sure if they're still around. You might be able to find a plastic tub of Bishop's at your grocer.

I tried Bishop's a couple times and won't go back. It is watery with little flavor. I can't understand how they got the good reputation they enjoy.

I think it must be a matter of taste, I really like Bishop's soup like Chili, especially with their homemade hot sauce and hot pepper juice and plenty of crakers. I believe the one at Harlem and Roosivelt (12th st.) closed several years ago and Westmont is the only one left. I have also had Lindy's which is excellent but totally different than Bishops.

I've heard of Lindy's, but have never been. Where can I find one. I live near 30th & Harlem in Berwyn. --James

I think that Bishop's Chili is primarily a bar, with a pot of chili on the side. The chili seems to weak and tomatoee for my taste.
