If you go to Seattle, you MUST visit the Pike Place Fish Market
. . . that's where my first-posted photo was taken. This is the place where, when a customer selects a fish, crab, whatever . . . the front man PITCHES it up to the guys on the "deck" who then wrap it and deliver it to the customer.
They also sing and chant while doing all this. A lot of theatrics, but a lot of FUN watching them.
This group of folks (employees/owners of the market) have been on some television specials in the past . . . TRAVEL channel
, I believe, was one of them. Maybe also Food Network
. . . but I refuse
to watch that channel, personally.
ALSO, if you are staying in one of the hotels in Seattle, the Pike Place Fish Market
will DELIVER your selected fish/crab/whatever to the hotel's kitchen and it will be prepared by the Hotel's chef for your dinner THAT EVENING!
I'm still a Blues fan (because I live in Maryland, naturally), but those Dungeness crabs aren't too shabby, either!
