quality or price?

would you pay for quality restaurants equipments at a higher price or pay less and get something of less quality. say like would you buy a pitco or an american range of the same size and same btu's. or a vulcan range over an imperial? one cost alot more than the other. what are your thoughts?

I think it depends on your use for it. In my case I've bought several medium use items. I have an Imperial range because in my operation it's only used an average of 4-5 hours a day. I don't see any need in paying for overkill.
