Hi, I'm new, so forgive me if I am posting the wrong question, or in the wrong place. I am hoping someone is from, or has been to columbus ohio, and can recommend some good restaurants there. We go there once a month for a business meeting, and we only know one good restaurant... anything that is sit down, dinner type... no fast food. probably more american... the one we already found is italian and it is great, so we 'd like something different...Can anyone help???
Where to begin? There are so many excellent restaurants in Columbus and it's suburbs. In downtown Columbus there are two wonderful steakhouses. There is a Morton's and there is Mitchell's. Another extraordinary restaurant is M, which is located in the Miranova building. Close to downtown in German Village is the Clarmont. Also in German Village is Lindey's. In the Short North, along High Street Rigsby's is excellent. East on Main Street you'll find The Top, which is a traditional steakhouse. On the North Side there is The Refectory (which boasts one of the finest wine cellars in the nation, according to Wine Spectator Magazine). I believe the finest Italian restaurant in the Columbus area is Scali's, but it is east of Columbus in Reynoldsburg. Back north again, there's a Mitchell's and a Ruth's Chris just north of I-270 off High Street/U.S. 23.
I can tell you of a number of other fine restaurants, but these should do for a while.
Oh, and welcome to Roadfood.
