RE: Strangest Toppings You've Run Across?
I live 3x years in Japan. You could find squid, seaweed(nori flakes), corn (kernals or baby), consistantly at any pizza place. Some of the odder places would have canned teriyaki eel, quail eggs, octopus tenticle slices, sweetened egg, tofu, and natto(fermented soybeans).
I kid you not.
And having traveled around the rest of SE Asia, I can attest every country puts it's own personal cultural flavor spin on pizza. Blazing hot raw chili peppers are not uncommon.
