Mon Ami Gabi in Chicago

This isn't really "roadfood", but my wife and I are thinking of going here next month for our 10th anniversary. We used to go a lot when we lived in the neighborhood 5 years ago, and liked it very much. Has anyone been lately? How is the food these days?

I went last October for dinner. I thought it was great. I had never been anyplace that had hanger steak on the menu and I had always heard that it is a really flavorful cut of meat. All 4 in our party got that and everyone was happy with it. I could not stop eating the frites which lasted well past the point of being full. I think I also got a duck confit appetizer that I enjoyed and someone got the pate which they raved about but I did not try (not a big fan)

Thanks - I think I'll try the hangar steak. Sounds wonderful.
