Cherry burger?

I heard the interview with some cherry pie lady from Mich on yesterday's Splendid Table. I'd try it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do so. She extolled the up to 60% less fat that resulted from adding the cherries, and that didn't sound appetizing. We all know how horrible a low fat hamburger is.

I use "a little" of our homemade cherry salsa as a condiment on Burgers (and other meat). It does go well on a burger. Note--Not in the meat...ON the meat!

The original cherry burger started in Cedar Mi.

We drive up there a couple of times a year to buy cherry burger, cherry pecan sausage and other treats. Hmmm, that'd be a nice trip over the holiday!

I once had a strawberry burger ... it was awesome (and the strawberry is apparently somehow related to the tomato ... so not suprising when you think about it.)

Those Michiganders are crazy about cherries. The best "salsa" I've had was made by Al-The-Mayor and Janet......AWESOME!!!! We're putting it on everything!

I have a cottage near there. Cherry Hut is da bomb ... and the burger with cherries is surprisingly good.

Those cherry burgers are very good! I could go for one right now.

They also have sausages and beef jerky if you're not into burgers.

I try to get up there as often as I can. They'll even ship it if you can't wait.
