New to the Toronto pizza scene is Bigabali's on Marlee Ave.

Doing NY style (although I've never had a NY slice in NY so I can't attest) and it's very good. Best pizza crust/dough I've ever had.
Amazing meatball sandwiches too. I wish they'd use Vienna instead of a kaiser though.

Knoxville is not known for pizza but a neat place in Vonore, TN has outstanding pizza.  Our Miata club meets there often.  It takes a while to get the pizza but it is outstanding.

If you are ever in the area, I would suggest you try this pizza.

Here are some of my favorites from "over the years":

Villanova Inn, New Castle, PA. Great food and cheap beer!

Inner-Circle Pizza in Poland OH. Never disappointed. Great wings, too.

Grotto Pizza in Dewey Beach, DE. Someone above observed that everyting tastes good in the salt-air. Grotto Pizza certainly does.

Ledo Pizza in suburban DC. There's something about sweet sauce on thin square pieces that is a refreshing change of pace.

Faccia Luna, Clarendon Metro, Arlington, VA. We always enjoyed their wood-fired pies with their generous antipasto.

Covino's in Plano, TX is our Dallas-area choice for a "Faccia Luna" antipasto+pizza meal. Extremely nice folks run this place. And they "import" their wonderful tiramisu from NJ!

Mario's on Wilson BV in Arlington, VA. Their square pieces must be comsumed immediately; they do not "travel". I always had one with "pep" and another with BBQ while waiting for Lefty to whip up my ham, steak, & cheese sub.

Campisi's Egyptian in Dallas. Great atmosphere and good (for Dallas) oval-shaped, thin-crust pies.

Since we moved from McLean, VA to Dallas in 2005 a number of "gourmet" pizza places have sprung up, Olivella's in Park Cities being the best (IMHO) among them. But Fireside Pies @ Legacy-Plano, Campania in Southlake, Coal Vines in Dallas, and Grimaldi's (of NYC fame) in Allen all serve wonderful Neopolitan-style pizza.

With these places Dallas, the corporate home of Pizza Hut, has moved from a "chain-pizza desert" to the "big leagues" of pizza.

A little more than a year later I'd add a wonderful new place in "Old Town" McKinney, TX to my list:  Sauce of the Square.  Their crust recipe is designed by "Voila", the best bread bakery in the Metroplex and they make a pie to rival Olivella's as the best Neopolitan pizza west of the City.  In fact, Voila's baguettes are the best I've had west of Paris!

There's a Faccia Luna in State College, PA right up the street from me and I agree their pizza is among the best, certainly the best in this town.  I guess it's a mini 2 or 3 restaurant chain.  That Cebula's in Dupont looks great as well.  Back home in the PA Coal Region the top pizza to me has to be Centiole's in Girardville.  Next time in NEPA I gotta look for that Cebula's.  That's the kind of pie I grew up eating.  Looks similar to Marrone's.

Faccia Luna's first store was the one in State College and is one of the nearly infinite number of reasons why that area is called "Happy Valley".

Nice of you to say so.  Agreed!  Great place to live.

I have a new favorite pizza joint in SoFla:

Forno 52 in Palmetto Bay.  Great crust, great sauce from San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella - all top notch and cooked in a wood-fired oven.

Best stromboli I've ever had, great crust and cheese, strong on garlic, and tasty marinara sauce.  You'll find Pizzano's tucked away in an aged strip mall on Sawmill Road. Inside you'll find of the best stromboli in Columbus, and for that alone I am a fan. The stromboli are perfectly baked. The dough is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The toppings are fresh-ish and flavorful.

My favorite pizza places are Keste’s in Manhattan and Best Pizza in Williamburg, Brooklyn. At Best Pizza the pies are baked in a century old coal fired oven, but they don’t use coal anymore, but do use wood.
Some pictures of Best Pizza I tasted last week.  Sorry, I guess I am not allowed to post links yet.

My favorite pizza place is actually a bakery in Syracuse, NY; DiLauros on Division Street. I have come to love their bread and rolls over the years. Its found in may restaurants and sandwich shops around town. I work a few blocks from their shop and discovered they also sell Pizza, Lunas and calzones. We order a pizza to go (no dining facility and they don't deliver) once or twice a month. My favorite is a sausage, mushrooms and peppers.

The flavor and texture bring my back to my favorite pizzas growing up in Cortland to the south of Syracuse. Their dough is so flavorful, there is never a leftover crust to be found.

Changes daily but today ate at TJ Anthony's on Comm Ave in Boston, BU neighborhood so it is currently my favorite.  The sausage pie is amazing.  The sausage is sliced very thin . . . red sauce has a bit of a sweet taste.  Emma's in Cambridge is a favorite . . . Sabatini's in Westborough MA is another.

IMOS PIZZA  St. Louis hands down..it was the only thing I missed about back home, It is the cheese, Provel,,,only made in St, Louis.....but I can order it online dryice delivered.....

awesome try it

I have tried it and it's not awesome.   There is a reason why Imo's is not one of the biggest pizza chains in the country.

We have a few Imo's locations here in Kansas City, but up in the northland there's a place that beats Imo's at its own game: Leo's Pizza.  They've been there since the early '70s, and both their interior and their product are veritable time-capsules.

Prima Pizza in Gilbert AZ is the best in the East Valley. A Mom & Pop with everything made from scratch. Good Dough, Great sauce. Quality add-ons as well as other excellent Italian dishes and Salads at great prices. they don't adevetise or promote much but have a Legion of Loyal Followers. No web site right now.

Milo & Olive in Santa Monica, CA. It's a small, gourmet pizza joint. Features family-style seating and has a great beer and wine selection. The one downside is it's on the pricey side. $18+ for a 12" pizza and it's always crowded (average wait to be seated is probably 20 minutes). But they have an amazing crust and some really unique toppings. Check it out.

A friend of mine read that the best pizza in Virginia AND the world was located 2.5 hours from us in Crozet, Virginia. So we drove down to Crozet and tried the Crozet Pizza! It was very good! Part of the charm was the actual restaurant. We were curious as to why we needed to make a reservation and found out the reason as soon as we walked through the door. There were only 6.5 tables in the place with one Tiffany lamp in the middle of the place giving us light. The restaurant only serves salads and pizza along with sodas and beer. My friend and I are not big on veggies so we ordered the Meatlover's style pizza. It was delicious! It had ham, meatballs, pepperoni and sausage on it!
If you are in VA and would like to check out this pizza joint, look up Crozet Pizza. I'm not sure if anyone on here has mentioned it yet!

Last weekend I found myself near Crozet and had to try Crozet Pizza.

It is indeed "destination" pizza!

I had an excellent small salad, root beer, and a wonderful 12" pie.  With tip, I paid $30.

Be warned, they only take cash.

I adore the Chicago-style pizza from Patxi's, a pizza shop that has been growing in the SF Bay area.  There's nothing wrong with their thin-crust version, either.

My current absolute favorite pizza is 360 Pizza in Austin, Texas.
As a former New Yawka, I can tell you, this is the real thing and, as good as any pie I've had in New Yawk. I'm in Austin often and I usually make a beeline to 360 Pizza after my 3 hour drive from Dallas. I haven't had pizza and calzones this good since I left the Big Apple!
