Can't Live On Just BBQ - 56K- - Mon, 11/20/06 7:48 AM

Started with a Choice Rib Eye.



Mixed up some Olive Oil, Kosher Salt, Garlic Salt, and Ground Black
Pepper.



Rubbed Steak and let it sit at room temp for 45 minutes.



On to the Weber.



Looking good.



Time to rest with some Garlic Butter.



Lets eat.



Simple side salad.

The supermarkets around here have gradually gone from Choice to Select or less as they do not show the grade on packages anymore. I found a butcher that carries only Choice, world of difference.

Looks delicious, but

that's it (above) for the dried seasonings I.E. I see mostly NaCl (salt).

thats about the same rub i use on prime rib, but instead of garlic salt i use minced garlic.

At my grocery store,in the produce section,they carry roasted minced garlic in jars.I am addicted to that now-its all I use when something calls for garlic...

John.. THat looks fantastic. I swear everytime I swear a juicy steak here, especially Ellens, my mouth just starts to water.
