Yeah, I've never understood the exclusion of DC in this feature, especially considering the size of the restaurant market and the number of people who live or visit here and, hence, would generate votes in this survey.
Also, the voting categories have also been pared down and made less interesting. In the past, there would be categories distinctive to a city (e.g., best cheesesteaks in Philadelphia, best deli in New York). Now they are all the same, unimaginative (group dining?) and fewer in number. The smaller cities even have what looks like a half-size portion of categories.
Lastly, unless I'm overlooking a write-in feature, you can only vote for restaurants that are listed, a troubling number of which are fast food types.
