I fill the blender with loose scoops of ice cream, then add milk and flavorings until I get to the 2/3 level. Then hit a low power level to start. As things start moving in the jar, hit higher speeds until the whole thing is moving like cement or cake batter. Stop before you melt everything through friction. Then I add peppermint schnapps to the chocolate or a fruit schnapps to the vanilla!

I once read a cookbook based on the aunt in The Andy Griffith Show and in a recipe for vanilla milkshakes they added one raw egg.

I know that chocolate and vanilla are the standard ones but in the SoCal desert they make the BEST date shakes! Very simple.....pitted chopped dates, vanilla ice cream, milk. They were really, really good. I bet Mr. Mayor has had a few of these.

Hello All, I love White Russians. I will put the ingredients for 4 White Russians into a blender, but substitute the light creams with 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream. Take Care, Fieldthistle
