Gee. A big corporation deciding that it's between Gray Davis and Arnold Schwarzenegger--giving "lump sum" status to the other candidates, including Gray Bustamante, who leads in the polls, and actual former candidates like Bill Simon.

Maybe they think it's another movie tie in.....

That's in LaLa land, shouldn't they have offered some vegetarian option?

You're right--but they did: just look at the list of candidates. . .

Hey...Remember that Taco Bell is not the Mexican Phone Company...It is an integral division of the YUM Corporation, with it's world headquarters in LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY The Bastion of Honest Politics! Now if we can get the KY governor to dump his Monica look-alike, and the former President of the University of Louisville (and now the former President of the University of Tennessee) to return some of the multi-million dollars he took from the university in illegal purchases and travel...Perhaps we can figure how to make Kentucky the next stop on the Celebrity Sweepstakes Election Tour. Watch for an election commercial using a YUM location and product to visually support the multi-cultural efforts of many of the candidates on the list at the website.

Maybe some of those people could come and stand in for our runaway senators.

Mr. Mayor: Shumacher did not make a hit in Knoxville except on his spending, travel etc. He spent $800K remodeling a house that was already picture perfect and had a great BBQ. He did not like it and bought another $6000 one. He kept the plane busy courting his honey down in Birmingham. The trustees are getting their butt kicked for their hiring skills.

Paul,
The real question is, Did he use Vinegar based, or Tomato based sauce on his BBQ.

I still, after looking at the website----can't believe it's for real. What will they do next-------if you buy a quesadilla LA will have an earthquake first and if you buy a bean burrito they will ensure that the Big One hits San Francisco?

I couldn't believe this website was for real, either, after first stumbling upon it this morn, but I see this afternoon its being featured on CNN and other news programs, so guess that it is real. Crazy! Wonder who came up with this idea and how they figure it will increase Taco Bell business, which am sure is its purpose. Gets their name out there and gets attention, but I fail to see it provides any enticement to eat at Taco Bell, even for the most radical supporters of their "self appointed" "leading" candiates, for results aren't to be announced until right at election time. And would think it could easily alienate an even greater total number of supporters of all the other candidates. Maybe they figure they are getting their name out there (some potential benefit) with no one taking it serious enough/paying enough attention to it to cause them any harm. Again, Crazy! PS- spelling correction.

I looked this up on www.snopes.com a great reference for urban legends, and it is not posted. Probably an excellent publicity stunt on Taco Bell's part.

Elise,
Snopes.com is a very interesting sight thanks. Why Snopes? Faulker's rednecks? Faulkner is the origination of the term, although it is a pretty common euphemism for redneck ne'er do wells down here.
