favorite brand of soft drink

My favorite brand of soda is pepsi. Tonight I tried rc cola for the first time and liked it. My favorite brand of rootbeer is ICB. I bought a 20 ounce bottle of rc cola for 50 cents at walmart in Athens, Ohio. How many people here like rc cola?

I buy Diet RC Cola for one reason only. It's made with Splenda. Coca-Cola also makes a diet version made with Splenda but it's hard to find for some strange marketing reason.

I am 52 yrs. old and do not consider myself ancient, but have a memory
that seems ancient.
When I was a kid, soda, soft drinks, or what we called in my area, pop,
could be bought for 5 cents a bottle. It went up to 10 cents when I was
about 10-12 yrs. old.
RC had a promotion where under their bottle cap your could discover if
you had won a 10, 25, or 50 cent reward. It had a cork layer you had to
dig through to discover if you had won anything.
Not being from a wealthy family, I would buy RC's so I could get some extra
money if I was lucky enough to buy a candy bar or bag of peanuts.
It's been years since I've had an RC. I may search one out due to your thread.
I'm a Dr. Pepper man now.
As far as root beer, I always like Hines.
I also enjoyed an orange soda, Tru-Aid.

Coke Zero is only good if it is really, really cold! I too drink it, not by choice, but it is better than some of the alternatives out there. Usually I drink water or iced tea but every once in a while you need a little carbonation and so....
Root Beer fave is Barq's and I like a good cream soda too!

Diet Coke (regular now tastes funny to me). If it is from a self serve fountain I add a little Dr. Pepper.

Foxon Park birch beer,followed by Stewart's root beer. I haven't had the former in years, but I had the latter about a week ago.

Any Lycoming style (white) birch beer; found a 2L of Frozen Run brand at Wegman's market in Williamsport PA in the spring. If I hadn't been a passenger in someone else's car I would have filled the trunk to bring it back south.

I was raised on RC - we too called it pop in Ohio where I was - but switched to Coke when I moved south because they had screw on lids on their 16 oz. bottles and it helped keep the fizz in.

Lately I've become reacquainted with Squirt - a citrus/grapefruity flavor and it's my current favorite ... unless I need the caffeine jolt of Code Red Mountain Dew.

I haven't seen RC Cola in years but it was the first brand I ever saw that had a caffeine-free version. I love orange soda of any kind and also cream soda, which is somewhat hard to find.

I really like Mr. Pibb. Unfortunately you cannot get it in the Northeast. I drink it when I visit my dad in Florida. Before the TSA banned liquids in your carry-on, I used to bring home a bunch when we flew.

I just discovered Dr. Browns Diet Creme Soda. Very tasty!

I would almost kill for Nehi Peach Soda, but I just havent brought myself to order it off the internet yet. A case would cost about $30 dollars and thats just to much. My sister lives in South Carolina and hasent found any for me yet. Ironicaly, I found some in lower West Virginia at a gas station on my way back from Myrtle Beach this year, but they only had one left (so he said).

RC cola is everywhere up here in northern West Virginia. Its always cheaper than Coke and Pepsi, but I find it a bit harsh.

I usually drink Diet Rite cola (the RC cola diet version) because it has 0 caffine, 0 calories, and 0 carbs. It's hard to find in the 2 ltr. size sometimes here so I buy it in the 6 bottle pack. Used to be 1.98 for a bottle six pack and the price just recently shot up to 3.98, that's just about 100% increase. Sometimes we'll drink what we call the "bad stuff", Mt. Dew, which would be my preference if calories and caffine were not a problem.

I recently bought a bottle of Knudsen's Grape Spritzer and am so hooked I keep the fridge loaded with it at all times.

It's reminiscent of Grape Crush or Grapette, only much better.

I believe I have 12 bottles chilling right now. And they're mine, all mine. ~(;-D)

Baja Blast Mountain Dew. You can only get it at Taco Bell. I do wish they would offer it for sale in grocery stores.

Ice cold Diet Pepsi on a regular basis. For something special I love Vernor's Ginger Ale or Barq's Root Beer.

Great grape flavor, I bought 72, 20 oz bottles while in FL this time, and have been rationing them out ever since.

Don,Paul buys diet Grapico for us all the time .... We buy it in 12-can boxes.We love it !

Dr Pepper and Pepsi are my favorites along with cream soda - any brand will do - I love cream soda.

Pepsi. I was happier than a pig in ---- when the UF campus went from Coke to Pepsi. I was somewhat in the minority though.

TaB first. If the Kroger or Eagle doesn't have it, then it's Diet Coke. The only time I will voluntarily consume pepsi is if someone offers it (just to be polite), or if it's the offering where I'm eating. If the latter is the case, then it's Dr Pepper. pepsi will not have a place in my fridge.

All the Boylan flavors except the diet ones, can't stand diet drinks.

Actually, after Pepsi and Faygo (namely Vernors), my choice would be the Off-Brand Pops from Save-A-Lot or Aldi (namely Bubba Cola from Save-A-Lot). I notice that the Off-Brand pops are always fresh and fizzy.

Coke, Orange Crush, and the usual suspects.
However, I ran across a "Dole Sparkler" - since then I've been looking for them and haven't seen them again.

stewerts cream & rootbeer soda birch beer CLASSIC COKE i like pibbXtra love RC but its hard to get round here and i love my SOBE drinks but cut back they are too addictive....but very good story on the SOBE i started drinking these and after awhile if i didn't have one every few hours i would get a headache....so i gave them up love them yogurt drinks/shakes whatever they are tasty and healthy.but my favorite drink is 2 ice cubes 1/2 bourbon 1/2 coke i prefer evan willams and maybe a backwoods cigar(clint eastwood) great way to end a day and if your lucky enough one of them left handed cigarettes

orange/tangerine .. blueberry/pomegranate .. pink grapefruit .. cranberry/raspberry .. they were in a few convenience stores but $$ mostly seen now in Wal-Mart .. way yummy

I had a blueberry/pomegranate Dole Sparkler and was less than impressed with that particular flavor.

I get twelve pack cans of Tahitian Treat at Woodman's in Wisconsin everytime I make the trip from Chicago.

My current favorite is Dr Pepper, both cold and hot. Hot Dr Pepper was promoted heavily in the 60's and was quite a fad for a while. I wonder if I am the only one that still likes it hot?

Take a tall glass
fill 1/4 with Ubet chocolate syrup
pour milk 1/4 up way more.
Fill rest of glass with seltzer
Stir till frothy white foam on top.

I prefer 'Jones'. They use real cane sugar, guess it is considered the healthy soda pop. They have unique combinations of flavors. At Thanksgiving, Jones came out with a - Turkey, gravy, mashed potato, soda pop! I did not have the courage to taste it. If you send them a picture and they like it, they put your picture on the label.

Sodamania in Lutz, Florida (north of Tampa: 14603 Livingston Avenue 33549) reports that Moxie is their # 1 seller of all the 400-plus brands they stock. This is located inside Subs-N-Such Sandwich Shop. When I can make it to Florida, I'll have to trundle out there and glom some up.
Some folks would hypothesize that I like Moxie because it's weird, and that factor does indeed enter my mind... but that's definitely not a deciding one. Yes, Moxie gets my vote... Diet Moxie, specifically.

I have heard about Moxie but have never encountered it. I always thought it was a NYC favorite. Maine never crossed my mind. I still think it is big in NYC though.

Funny it has not made it to the capital region of NYS though as there are so many NYC folk here in the legislature with their staff and entourage. Then again, maybe they don't drink soft drinks which would explain a lot about their behavior.

back in days of yore I used to like Brookdale Soda in NJ; it came in cases of great big tasy bottles and if I recall righht the places that sold it sold nothing else...long gone of course.
last time I was east Stewarts root beer from the real places was still v good- the bottles you can buy at places even here are not close.
my facvorite these days are Hansens Natural sodas- very flavorful , and the diet stuff does not suffer a bi...we always have some hansens here

I'm a fan of RC. Along with Sun Drop, that's the first soft drink I remember drinking at my great-grandfather's house. He always kept the two in his pantry.

Not sure what my favorite soda really is, but if I had to choose one, I'd probably go with Cheerwine or Iron Beer.

Coke Classic is my favorite, followed by Pepsi and then RC Cola. I also like orange drinks like Crush and Nehi. Don't offer me any diet drinks; I can't stand them.

I like RC but Barqs is my favorite.  Especially that bottled on the Mississippi Gulf coast.  I was a QC tech for a Coke plant for a while and got tired of tasting all of their products after a year or so(I was there for 2 years).  Does anyone remember Kickapoo Joy Juice from Dogpatch USA in Arkansas.

I never buy and rarely drink carbonated sugar or diet beverages. But if it is the only choice and there is a variety of them in a tub of ice I would pick out the root beer.

I go there a few times a year to try out sodas .. and of course have a pressed cuban. Good sandwich great sodas but the counter service is not the "cheeriest"

I'm not a real coke or pepsi lover.  Also realised recently that I don't like A&W root beer, it has a weird sorta taste like bad coffee, maybe it's just me though.

Speaking of Jones Soda...they brought out a holiday pack which included the following flavours; Fruitcake, Cranberry Sauce, Greenbean Casserole, Mashed Potato & Butter, Brussels Sprouts, Wild Herb Stuffing and as someone said Turkey & Gravy, I also heard they brought out a pumkin pie one which I wouldn't mind trying but as for those other flavours....I think I'll pass!
