Favorite Cocktail

Mine are:

L.I. Iced tea
Ramos Fizz
Cuba Libre

Honorable mention goes to the cocktail I traditionally order at a restaurant as a chaser to a fine meal, the Grasshopper.

What's yours?

My drink at home is Vodka w/Vernors on the rocks.. When I go out, I normally order a Tanqueray and tonic with a twist of lemmon. Nothing fancy here..

Scorereader... Lynchburg Lemonades.. lol.. Brings back memories. I used to bartend at a biker bar back in the early 90's.. Ladies would sit on my side and order them to no end.. Within a couple hours, never failing, they'd be getting awnry griping not enough jack in the mix (and I was never shy with the bottle to begin with)...

Here is one that I cooked up. I call it a Bushy Orb. It's basically a Manhattan. Use many parts Bushmills Irish Whisky, then add about 1/3 Chambord. Shake (on ice). Pour into a martini glass, and add at least two cherries. (More on this later)
This is guaranteed to get you in the sack. Here's what is so deadly about this concoction: The Bushmills (the Bushy part) is already pretty easy to suck up, at least for me. The Chambord (the Orb part) completely takes any remaining edge off the Irish koolaid. Girls will pound these until they have to be stopped. They LOVE the cherries, too. Something about the stemware makes it more sexy and sophisticated. Girls like hearing you shake the thing, it's more exciting than stirring it. Makes you appear more full of vigor.
Here's a good joke. After your friend has downed a couple of these, start absently playing with a cherry stem. Under the table, tie one in a simple knot. Hide it in your mouth. Make sure you have a second one. Have her watch while you put the second one in your mouth, then make all kind of goofy motions with your tongue, and after about 20 seconds, pull out the one with the knot. If she is astounded, she is probably ready to go home. She's wondering what other tricks you can perform with that tongue.

Manhattan. Probably a nostalgia thing with me. That's the first drink I ever ordered (I was 16). Still love one when out for a nice dinner.

    Either a bourbon Manhattan up-----or a vodka/martini with a twist (don't
care if it's shaken or stirred)also up-ice on the side please !!! When
asked a choice of brands I must say in honesty I usually can not tell
    the difference.

Which goes with which---well it "ain't" the same as red wine with red meat
etc. but it really is---whatever I feel like. Sometimes I feel like a nut,
    sometimes I don't. Cheers !!!!!

Forgot to mention that my bourbon Manhattan has to be straight up and icy cold. Used to love to have one at an airport restaurant when everything was smoky (I used to smoke) and it smelled like grilled steak. It all seemed so exciting.

    Mine are:
Caipirinha the national drink of Brazil try one today.

My own version of the Martini I call The Dirty Mexican:
Take Bombay Saphire and add a tsp of the juice from your pickled Jalapeno jar and ice in your martini mixer with a few drops of fresh lime. Shake good and long pour into Martini glass and garnish with three of the Jalapeno rings from the Jar.

Any of the good Bourbons available today straight. The burn, The slight rumble on the way down and the slight water of the eyes never gets old. 30 years and I still enjoy it.

I also like that new Cuervo 1800 black and coke with a splash of simple syrup.....Russ

If I am out in a restaurant, it is Jack on the rocks with a splash of soda and a twist of lime.

At home, Myer's Dark Rum, Appleton Estate VX, Orange Cuacao, Lime Juice, Orgeat. Decorate with fresh mint, fresh pineapple and a cherry.

Depends on the kind of day or week I've had. Good week - margarita rocks
bad week- vodka martini rocks with at least 3 green olives. And of couse, wine with the meal. And maybe, if I'm really celebrating- Kuluah straight up in a pony glass with a great cup of coffee on the side, for dessert!
