A couple suggestions, if it's not too late, based on my one-night visit from last year:
The Saratoga, on E. Market Street (the main drag into downtown from the east) has been around since the 20's or so, and looks it. Classic old, wood-booth type place with decent food. I had a perfectly fine swiss steak for dinner, so I imagine you could get a good breakfast there as well. Good, solid Roadfood, just a few steps from the courthouse square.
Further down E. Market is the Coffee Cup Cafe (or it might be the Koffee Kup, I don't remember). Typical family restaurant, busy on a Saturday morning- bologna & eggs w/ biscuits for breakfast, also perfectly fine. Less than 10 minutes walk from the courthouse.
There is also a good coffee and pastry shop on the next street over, a couple blocks from the courthouse, but I'm at a loss as to the name of the place or the street. Take a stroll around the block and you should be able to find it.
It's not much to go on, but I hope it finds you in time.
