We had several Red Barn Hamburger joints in my old stompin' grounds in the Detroit area. Loved all of their burgers. Big Barney, Barnbuster, and, don't forget the fried chicken-great! Someone asked about Lee's Hamburgers in the NO area. Great burgers with onion in the patty & on the grill. Wrapped in paper like the old days. Great onion rings & fries, Po Boys, chicken sandwiches (I've never had one). I've been to the one on Veteran's Blvd many times-looking forward to getting back there. McBurger

I use Miracle Whip, ketchup, a little mustard, dill & sweet relish. Makes a great burger dressing similiar to the old Big Barney or Barnbuster sauce at The old "Red Barn". McBurger

There was a Red Barn in my old hometown of Elgin, Illinois. It didn't last log, though, and was remodeled into a family-style sit-down restaurant.
